Terms of Service

Transparency and professional standards in our partnership.

Terms of Business

1. Engagement & Services

All services provided by **The Accountant** (a brand of **Taxcom Accounting Limited**) are subject to a formal letter of engagement. Our fixed-fee plans are designed for standard compliance requirements.

2. Pricing & Service Limits

Our monthly plans include specified limits for invoices and payroll. Volumes exceeding these limits are subject to the following charges:

  • Invoices: €25.00 per additional block of 20 invoices.
  • Payroll: €2.50 per additional employee per month.

Proprietary Directors: Base plans cover standard non-proprietary director returns. Returns for Proprietary Directors (owning >15% of a company) involve additional complexity and carry a separate starting fee of **€300.00 per return** to ensure full Revenue compliance.

Additional Services: Any work performed outside the standard scope of your selected plan will be billed based on **actual time spent** at our standard hourly rates or as a specifically quoted fixed fee.

3. Service Exclusions

The following services are **NOT** covered by our standard fixed-fee monthly plans and will attract separate specialized fees:

  • Revenue Audits and WRC (Workplace Relations Commission) Audits.
  • Preparation of Statutory Audited Accounts.
  • Third-party audit fees, legal fees, and professional consultancy costs.
  • Late filing penalties, interest, or fines imposed by Revenue or the CRO.

4. Client Responsibilities

To provide accurate and timely filings (VAT, PAYE, etc.), clients must provide all necessary documentation and access to records via our secure portal or designated cloud accounting software (Xero/QuickBooks) at least 10 working days before any statutory deadline.

5. Professional Standards

As a firm featuring an **ACCA qualified team**, we adhere to the highest ethical and professional standards. We focus on legal tax optimization within the Irish Revenue framework.

6. Termination

Our monthly service plans are based on a rolling monthly agreement. Clients may cancel their plan with 30 days' notice, subject to all outstanding fees being settled.
